Ship Salvage

Ship Salvage

With proven patch technology and years of experience of ship salvage, Miko Marine has the capacity to respond quickly to emergency situations such as groundings or collisions. We deliver the right equipment and expertise for temporary, but reliable, repair of the hull.

Miko Marine has developed the FlexiShape Miko Plaster, which is used for temporary repair of hull damages and ship salvage. The patches are protected from sharp edges through several layers of aramid fibers and the material is flexible to follow the hull curvatures. The rubber stripes along the edges help improve the seal when secured to the hull surface using the Underwater Fastener.

The Salvage Kit contains several sizes of FlexiShape Miko Plaster, underwater magnets and supplementary tools required for installation. Ship salvage equipment is stored at our warehouse and is ready to be sent any time, anywhere in the world.

We have a preparedness agreement with the Norwegian Coastal Administration and are committed to promptly respond as requested to ship salvage situations along the Norwegian coastline.

We deliver:

-Quick delivery of patching equipment
-Engineering and custom solutions
-Supervision and on-site support

Questionnaire for ship salvage operations

In order for us to provide the best possible solution to a ship salvage operation, it is important to identify as many pot holes as possible prior to ordering and installing the Miko Plaster. We have prepared questionnaire to help us identify exactly what equipment is needed to repair the vessel. It is also meant to help prepare the divers and installers of the Miko Plaster for the job.
